Is It Possible To Mend A Broken Heart

Being in love is one of the most exciting and happiest experiences that one can have. The ability to love someone so deeply is simply amazing and there is nothing in the world that will give you more pleasure. However, sometimes when in a relationship you can begin to take your partner and the relationship for granted. No relationship is perfect and while some relationships will continue to grow and be happy, others will come to an abrupt end. Although being in love is such an amazing and happy experience, when that relationship fails it can be truly heart breaking. Although it might not feel like your broken heart will ever mend, there are things that you can do to help with the healing process.

When a relationship ends you will experience a roller coaster of emotions and you need to understand that going through these emotions is all part of the process. There is no magic pill that you can take and instantly your heart will be repaired and you will be happy again. It just isn’t as simple as that.

The range of emotions you will experience might surprise you and those emotions can sometimes change in an instant. One minute you might be happy and laughing and then next minute you are sad and crying. You might experience denial, anger, sadness, rejected and you might even feel like a failure. These emotions are all normal and don’t be surprised if you even feel some different emotions at the same time. Just try to remember that as time goes on this will get easier.

Emotions can be very strong and can take over if you don’t control them. I’m not saying that you should bottle up your emotions and not show them at all, but you need to be careful that your emotions don’t start to control your life. If you are sad or depressed for a long period of time you can develop a depressive disorder. To avoid becoming depressed permanently try to keep your emotions under control and although it’s ok to feel sad, at some point you need to tell yourself that enough is enough and it’s time to be happy.

Keeping busy is a great way to help mend a broken heart. If you sit home and sulk all day you will find yourself constantly thinking about your ex and your relationship and about all the negative things in your life right now. The more you think about your break up the longer you will feel sad about it. Even though you might not feel like going out with friends, it is probably the best thing you can do right now. Just try to get out the house and keep active to stop yourself from constantly thinking about your break up.

Falling in love is easy – it’s fun, it’s happy, it’s amazing. Mending a broken heart is hard and unfortunately that is part of life. There will be many amazing and happy moments in life and there will be lots of sad moments too. This is something that we have to accept and deal with when faced with these moments. They say time heals all wounds and your broken heart will begin to mend with time. If you keep active and try not to sit around thinking about your miserable break up then this will help you get through this rough time.
